Spicy Kale Falafel

  • 2 cup chickpeas
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 2 cup kale packed
  • 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper can use less depending on spice tolerance
  • black pepper
  • 3 tsp onion powder
  • 3 tsp garlic powder


  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place your ingredients into your food processor and pulse until ingredients are well combined.
  • Scoop the dough out and roll them into balls or form into patties and place them on the lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Remove falafels from oven and allow to cool before serving.


Tip – For a crispier crunch, you can pan fry these in a little bit of oil on medium heat.
