Combine beans, onions, mushrooms, vegetable broth, tomato sauce, italian seasoning, and kale into a pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until kale is tender - about 20 minutes. Add more vegetable broth if you like a thinner soup.
Stir in cashew butter and nutritional yeast. Season with salt and pepper.
